Setting up real time shipping rates in X-cart

To setup real time shipping rates in your X-cart store, first, got to Settings -> General settings -> Shipping

Check boxes below:

- "ENABLE SHIPPING"

- "Enable real-time shipping calculation"

Un-check "Use Intershipper calculation service"

USPS:

For USPS, you need to signup for USPS WebTools account here: http://www.usps.com/webtools/

You will receive "USPS Web Tools User ID", after that, send a message to USPS support and asked to enable your account for production server because you are using X-Cart shopping cart software which already was tested with USPS

After you get confirmation from support, enter your "Web Tools User ID" on the Settings -> General settings -> Shipping page

FedEx:

To get API information for FedEx, login to your FedEx account: http://www.fedex.com/

Go to Web services : http://www.fedex.com/us/developer/web-services/index.html

Click the "Move to Production" link

Click on the "Get Production Key" that appears under the production menu

Finish the signup wizard

After setup is done you will get Authentication Key and Production Meter Number

also, you will receive email with Production Password, FedEx Account Number, Production Meter Number

Enter all this information on your shipping setup page: Settings -> General settings -> Shipping page

UPS:

X-cart has a built-in UPS Online Tools signup wizard. Go to Settings -> Modules -> UPS Developer Kit - enable it and Apply the changes

After it's enabled, you will see "Configure" link on the right - click on it and complete "UPS Developer Kit" setup.

You will be able to enable UPS rates after that.

After the above steps, you will see new tab at the top called "Shipping and Taxes"

Click on "Shipping methods" there and enable methods you want to offer in your store.
