- Open the store by FTP or in File Manager in Plesk
- check if config.php has permissions 666
- make a backup of config.php (you will need the old blowfish key if regeneration will not work)
- in config.php, check which database is currently used for the store ($sql_db variable)
- backup the whole database or at least "xcart_customers" table
- go to Payment methods > config on the active credit card method and write down the settings (sometimes regeneration breaks them in the older versions of X-cart 4)
- Go to Tools > Maintenance > Re-generate Blowfish encryption key and click Regenerate
- After that process is done, check if Payment methods > config on the active credit card method still has the correct settings
- Logout and login again to make sure your login still works
- If the process did not work, restore the database or "xcart_customers" table and the previous version of config.php file and contact us
